An Ancient Cathedral

Description

For =Mehrunnisa's Cathedrals of Time contest.

The deadline for this contest was Dec. 10th. I finished this, no lie, at 12:01 AM on Dec. 10th. I hope she'll be lenient and let me squeeze this entry in!

Alright, so at about 8 PM last night, *lindowyn-stock goes to me "Hey! I'm going to enter in this contest! The deadline is tomorrow! You should to!" And thus, this was born.

Actually I had thought about entering in this contest a few days ago but didn't think I would have time to do a proper manip. Heh, yeah well, that was a lie.

I wanted to go for not a big, old, musty cathedral as the word implies, but instead a more ancient religious sanctuary and so I played with this concept. Stonehedge is what came into my mind. So I played with different types of places a person might find religious sanctuary. So we have the mirror looking in on pillars that may have once been a GrecoRoman temple looking in on an ocean (which *lindowyn-stock and ~dancingemlin can most certainly tell you IS a religious sanctuary.) In addition to each piece looking into another, it also looks backwards in time. In each time period, the sanctuary changes accordingly, or at least that's how I feel.

I'm actually really pleased with this considering how I was rushing to finish it. It actually...came out really cool and unique I think. Or hope. Anyway, now I'm going to pass out!
