From the Irish Gaelic Study Tribe:
Thríbhís Mhór, an - The Great Triscele (Sea, Earth, and Sky), whose binding (which is indivisible and may never be broken down to three separate parts) insures the integrity of the cosmos; as an individual binding it ensures slán, and as the penalty for breaking of a geis acts as a whole (the sea rise to drown you, the earth open to swallow you, the sky fall to crush you - v tríbhás). First of a triptych. More to follow... This pictures has been several months in the making and has taken me a LOT of time and effort. I originally started it while I was abroad in England last spring. It took me about two days to do her skin and hair. Then probably another day to shade the triskele, and I don't know how many more after that to shade and colour each individual leaf on the vines because the brush I used was flat. When it came time to do the background, I had no idea what I wanted to do and so set it aside because I was so frustrated. While organizing the HUGE stock folder on my computer, I came across it again and decided to finish it. I stumbled upon the background and am SO THRILLED with how it came out! ^.^ My original plan for this was to do each element: Earth, Water, and Wind, then eventually combine it to make one large triskele. The file sizes I've been using though are HUGE! (Because I want to be able to make some decent prints out of these for once!) So my computer isn't very happy with me when I work on this! And now for the rather large list of stock providers: Earth elemental: Dirt texture: Vine and Hair brushes: Swirl brushes: Stump: Background: I THINK that's everyone.... Made in PSPX and Paint Shop Pro Photo X2. I give permission to |

The only way creativity is wasted is if it is not used. There are no rights or wrongs. There are no imperfections, no limits, no rules. One must simply use the talents one has to the utmost to be a success.
Thank you for using my stock

I feel like a hero and you are my heroine. I won't try to philosophize,
I'll just take a deep breath and I'll look in your eyes. This is how I feel.
That's my girl! I am so glad that you finally got to finish this. I was beginning to worry that all those neat wip's I was seeing might never see it's end...but wow. You really should be proud of this. Because you should. Look at all that hard work! And it paid off.
